Henry David Thoreau wrote "The Battle of the ants." In this passage he writes about the war between two breeds of ants the black ants and the red ants. Henry David Thoreau uses Geeek mythology to give the readers a better understanding on how intense the ants fouaght. Through Thoreau studies show war is human nature
Through this short passage Henry David Thorea sends a message to the readers which is humans and animals think diffrently but, they all think the same when it comes to claiming what belongs to them. This ususally leads to an altercation.
It is nature that insects or animals fight but, it is also human nature when we fight eachother. For example America against Iraq individuals fight to support their countries (territory). Thoreau main audience is people of political interest. This passage opens up your eyes and gives you (the readers) a better understanding of what's going on in society.
